Valentine's Pillows

Last year I went on a bit of a Valentine's pillow making bender. Yes. It's true. I think I made like 5 pillows. They were just so fun...I couldn't stop. The ideas just kept flowing and I had to make them all! This morning, I decided I'd put them all in one post for some Valentine's decor inspiration! All of these pillows were made using raw edge applique which made them fast and easy! So without further ado, here they are:

The first is the Hearts & Swirls Pillow. This one was patterned after my Valentine's Table Runner. I decided to make it into a pillow because I am too chicken to actually use my table runner on the table. I'm afraid my adorable, but totally messy children will spill something on it. So far, the pillow is safe!

The next is the XOXO pillow. Yes! Designed after this cute little decor item I made several years back- it was made with wood letters covered in fabric and hot glued to the base- but it kept breaking in the storage box, so every year I end up having to glue it back together. So last year while gluing it back together, I decided it would make a really cute pillow! (The text print in the XOXO is from the line "First Crush" by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics).

The decor item!

Then I made another XOXO pillow because my girls were fighting over who got to keep it in their room. So now we have 2.

This is another redo of an older quilt- the first was this Valentine's Mini Circle Quilt  - but I made it a bit smaller and in a square rather than a rectangle and turned it into a pillow. So fun. I gifted this one to my cute next-door neighbor for her birthday.

I used the leftover charm pack from the front to make a little patchwork backing for the pillow.
(The fabric is "From the Heart" by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake).

And this last one is just a fun one I had in my head - I love all things black and white with pops of color - this one is probably my favorite of the bunch. I quilted different patterns inside the different hearts- super fun! Hopefully this has inspired you to go make a Valentine's pillow or two! Mwah!

(Patterns for some of these pillows can be found in my Etsy Shop or my Ahhh...Quilting Shop!)
